This is the poster for the film adaptation, written and directed for the screen by Kovacevic himself.
Kovacevic was born in Serbia in 1948. He is a famous Serbian playwright and filmmaker. The Professional was his first film venture, in 2003. Although his work is well known throughout Serbia, his plays did not become available in the United States until the mid-90s when they were translated into English.
Moving Stories is proud to present "The Professional". In the early stages of research, we're having trouble finding any records of this play being professionally produced in Chicago. It's very exciting to present a piece seldom seen. Stay tuned for more dramaturgical discussion!
